PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)
is an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean video game company Bluehole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brendan "PlayerUnknown" Greene for other games, inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale, and expanded into a standalone game under Greene's creative direction. In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed themselves. The available safe area of the game's map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round.
Battlegrounds was first released for Microsoft Windows via Steam's early access beta program in March 2017, with a full release in December 2017. The game was also released by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox One via its Xbox Game Preview program that same month, and officially released in September 2018. A free-to-play mobile version for Android and iOS was released in 2018, in addition to a port for the PlayStation 4Battlegrounds is one of the best-selling and most-played video games of all time, selling over fifty million copies worldwide by June 2018, with over 400 million players in total when including the mobile version.
Battlegrounds received positive reviews from critics, who found that while the game had some technical flaws, it presented new types of gameplay that could be easily approached by players of any skill level and was highly replayable. The game was attributed to popularizing the battle royale genre, with a number of unofficial Chinese clones also being produced following its success. The game also received several Game of the Yearnominations, among other accolades. PUBG Corporation has run several small tournaments and introduced in-game tools to help with broadcasting the game to spectators, as they wish for it to become a popular esport. The game has also been banned in some countries for allegedly being harmful and addictive to young players.

                                  MAPS

The Maps are the playable area where players are pitted against each other in BATTLEGROUNDS. Within these maps, a red zone‎‎ periodically spawns onto random cities/locations causes explosions within that area and also periodically a C-130 flys over the map and drops an air drop.

VIKENDI

Vikendi (Codename: Dihorotok) is the 4th playable map that is in the works for BATTLEGROUNDS, Vikendi is a 6x6 island on the Adriatic Sea.
Development on this map began sometime in 2017,[1] map was teased on June 10th, 2018 in the 'Microsoft E3 2018 conference' video.[2] PUBG Corp attended the The Game Awards (2018) and had a World Premier CGI trailer of Vikendi, later that night Vikendi became playable on the Test Server client, and later that month, on December 19th, Vikendi became available on the live client on PC. Vikendi was released on January 22nd for Xbox One and PS4.

SHANOK

Sanhok (Codename: Savage) is the 3rd playable map but the 4th map in total for BATTLEGROUNDS, Sanhok is a 4x4km island compared to other maps that are 8x8km. Sanhok is the first map where BATTLEGROUNDS implemented a dynamic circle. This dynamic circle sees how many players are alive then will calculate if the blue zone should move faster or slower throughout the match.
Development on this map began sometime in 2017 [1] and in March of 2018, PC Gamer had the privilege to announce/reveal the map [2]. A month later PUBG Corp created a new standalone client called "PUBG: Experimental Server" just to test Sanhok on April 2nd, 2018. The client at first an invite only client (where you needed a key in order to download the client), mostly only content creators and PUBG Partners had access to it and due to uproar within the community, PUBG Corp later on opened it up to all owners of PUBG on Steam. Codename: Savageconsisted of 4 rounds of testing phases in the Experimental client to take out any performance hitting bugs, glitches and even optimizing the map better. Later that Summer on June 22nd, 2018 it went to the live client on PC and then on September 4th, 2018 (launch of 1.0) it got released for Xbox One.

MIRAMAR

Miramar is the 2nd playable map for BATTLEGROUNDS. Initially slated to be a 4x4 km map,[1] Miramar is a 8x8km city-centric map with an open desert plain and rural areas.
Development on this map began in July 2017, PUBG Corp used the official release update (1.0 update) to test Miramar in 3 rounds of testing phases. It later became available later that year on the 12th of December for PC (launch of 1.0) and 24th of May, 2018 for Xbox One

ERANGEL
Erangel is the first and primary playable map of BATTLEGROUNDS.
Development of Erangel began sometime in early 2016 when Bluehole was in talk with PLAYERUNKNOWN about making a Battle Royale game. Later that year, PLAYERUNKNOWN asked his fans to sign-up (Arma 3 Battle Royale players got immediate access) and test out his newly announced game in June - September of 2016 (Pre-Alpha (NDA)) and then an Alpha (No NDA) in October - December of 2016 which introduced Duo's and Squad's to PUBG. A few months later Closed Beta happened in February - March of 2017 (most content creators had access to this build) and later that month in March it launched in Steam Early Access in March 23, 2017 and full release (out of Early Access) on December 21, 2017 (Originally, the game was suppose to get out of Early Access 6 months from March 23).
